İngilizce Emir Cümleleri (Imperatives) Konu Anlatımı
“Imperatives” (emir cümleleri), bir şeyi istemek, tavsiye vermek, talimat vermek veya bir isteği ifade etmek için kullanılan cümlelerdir. Türkçede olduğu gibi, İngilizcede de emir cümleleri kullanımı özel bir yapıya sahiptir.
1 Olumlu Emir Cümleleri:
- “Open the door.” (Kapıyı aç.)
- “Take a seat.” (Bir koltuğa otur.)
- “Read this book.” (Bu kitabı oku.)
2 Olumsuz Emir Cümleleri:
- “Don’t touch that button.” (O düğmeye dokunma.)
- “Don’t eat too much candy.” (Çok fazla şeker yeme.)
- “Don’t forget to call me.” (Beni aramayı unutma.)
3 Olumlu Kısa Emir Cümleleri:
Bazı durumlarda, “Let’s” (Haydi!) kullanılarak olumlu emir cümleleri oluşturulabilir:
- “Let’s go for a walk.” (Yürüyüşe çıkalım.)
- “Let’s have dinner together.” (Akşam yemeği yiyelim.)
- “Let’s study for the exam.” (Sınav için çalışalım.)
4 Karışık Örnek Cümleler
- Open the window. (Pencereyi aç.)
- Close the door quietly. (Kapıyı sessizce kapat.)
- Turn off the lights when you leave. (Ayrılırken ışıkları kapat.)
- Take a deep breath and relax. (Derin bir nefes al ve rahatla.)
- Don’t forget to feed the cat. (Kediyi beslemeyi unutma.)
- Clean up your workspace before you leave. (Ayrılmadan önce çalışma alanınızı temizleyin.)
- Don’t talk while the teacher is speaking. (Öğretmen konuşurken konuşma.)
- Let’s meet at the park at 4 PM. (Saat 16.00’da parkta buluşalım.)
- Help me carry these bags, please. (Bu çantaları taşımama yardım edin lütfen.)
- Listen carefully to the instructions. (Talimatları dikkatlice dinleyin.)
- Hold the handrail while going downstairs. (Aşağı inerken korkuluğa tutun.)
- Don’t be late for the meeting. (Toplantıya geç kalmayın.)
- Please turn down the music a bit. (Lütfen müziği biraz kısın.)
- Let’s plant flowers in the garden this weekend. (Bu hafta sonu bahçeye çiçek ekelim.)
- Don’t forget to bring your umbrella, it might rain. (Şemsiyeni getirmeyi unutma, yağmur yağabilir.)
- Don’t touch the artwork in the museum. (Müzede sanat eserine dokunma.)
